Supporting Pizza on the Pier 2022

The nonprofit Slice Out Hunger has raised over $1.3M to fund hunger relief efforts around the US since 2009. Marra Forni donated 6 commercial brick ovens to one of their annual events called Pizza on the Pier. The event was held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Fornino on Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. 

The "pizza party of epic proportions" featured NYC’s top pizza makers baking pizza in 2 donated Marra Forni ovens. The event raised nearly $20k to support their Pie It Forward program, sending pizza to hospitals, shelters, and soup kitchens. 

Scott Wiener, the founder and director of Slice Out Hunger said, "The ovens worked out great and we’re so thankful for your coordination."

We thank Mr. Wiener and the Slice Our Hunger crew for their hard work to support a cause close to the heart of the Marra Forni family. This is one of many annual charity events we work hard to support every year.
