Today is national “Have A Bagel Day” and the hottest new bagel spot in Washington, D.C., [Call Your Mother Deli](https://www.callyourmotherdeli.com/), has been receiving phenomenal praise for their specialty bagels since it’s October opening. The team behind this deli are the same ones who made Timber Pizza Co., the equally as successful pizza making company. Inside the deli, firing up those bagels is one of [Marra Forni](http://marraforni.com)‘s specially customized ovens from our metal fabrication department.

We talked to Andrew Dana, one of the co-owners, who mentioned how, “for the most part, people who make ovens are not down for making custom, and Marra Forni went the extra step to create what we wanted.” They told us how easy to use their oven has been, and that the product quality has been great.

At Call Your Mother Deli they bake hybrid, wood-fired bagels that are a cross between Montreal style with the sweet flavor and the boiled and baked New York style with a chewy consistency. Although the wide variety of unique bagels is their staple, they also offer delicious lunch sandwiches and Jewish deli favorites.
