Marra Forni is excited to announce the addition of a new seasoned regional sales manager joining the family. Drew Richards brings a wealth of experience and connections within the pizza industry.
Drew Richards will be taking over the Western Regional Sales Manager position at Marra Forni which will include both the western US and Canadian territories. Drew comes to the position with over 20 years of experience in the restaurant and sales industries. He was certified as a pizzaiolo by Master Pizzaiolo Instructor Leo Spizzirri and has worked with some of the industry's biggest names.
Drew started his career running both back-of-the-house and front-of-the-house operations at restaurants in Houston, Dallas, and Austin Texas where he grew up. After over six years, he transitioned into the beer and wine sales divisions managing multiple regions for Southern Glazers Distributing of Texas for 15 years. In 2017 he moved to Denver where he and his partner now reside.
"To follow my true passion, I transitioned into the pizza business through oven and equipment sales in Denver. Over the last 5 years, I’ve worked to become one of the experts in the field of electric ovens." He also became a certified pizzaiolo and has worked and trained under world-class chefs including Tony Gemignani, John Arena, Leo Spizzirri, Brian Spangler, and The World Pizza Champions Team.
In reference to stepping into this new role, Drew said "I look forward to the journey with Marra Forni and their team. It will be exciting to expand the company’s footprint through the pizza and culinary communities."
Both Drew and his partner love to camp, hike, ski, and be outdoors in every season. "My passion is pizza, baking, and entertaining with friends and family."
